With the emergence of food safety issues and people's pursuit of healthy and pure natural foods, "organic food" has become more and more popular. The following is a review of the domestic organic food supervision and labeling requirements for reference by the industry.

Organic food labeling requirements
China implements a unified organic product certification system, implements a unified certification catalogue, unified standards and certification implementation rules, and a unified certification mark. The National Certification and Accreditation Administration is responsible for formulating and adjusting the organic product certification catalogue and certification implementation rules, and publishing them. The organic certification is carried out by a qualified certification body approved by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration.
 
The "Organic Product Certification Implementation Rules" clearly states that the products for certification should be listed in the "Organic Product Certification Catalogue" promulgated by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration. At present, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration has issued a catalogue of organic product certifications for six times. In the latest organic product certification catalogue (2018), the scope of organic certification can be classified into “production” and “processing”.

Articles 15 and 16 of the Measures for the Administration of Organic Product Certification (Revised 2015), the content of organic ingredients (referring to weight or liquid volume, excluding water and salt) equal to or higher than 95% of processed products, only after the organic certification can be carried out, the certification body must not carry out organic certification for processed products with organic ingredients below 95%.




China requires that only foods that have obtained China's organic certification can be marked with organic certification marks, "organic", "ORGANIC" and other patterns (including foreign organic certification marks, logos) on their packaging. Products that have not obtained organic product certification or are certified for re-processing, packaging, and division outside the production and processing sites indicated in the certification certificate are not allowed to be marked “organic” or “labeled” on the minimum sales package and label of the product. ORGANIC" and so on.
Only those who have obtained the certification of foreign organic products, according to the "Organic Products" national standards and "Organic Product Certification Management Measures", may not label "organic", "ORGANIC", etc. on the product, product minimum sales packaging and its label may mislead the public Text representations and patterns, including foreign organic certification marks and logos.
